About YCCS

YCCS provides reliable debt collection services for a multitude of clients, including government, municipal, judicial, medical, retail, service and private entities. We take pride in our professionalism, commitment to service, and Fair but Firm attitude.

Our company was originally founded in 1948 as Yakima County Credit Service, Inc. Sheila Burns purchased the agency in 1976 and steadily extended our services to the larger Pacific Northwest region and across the United States. In 1987 the name was changed to YCCS - A National Collection System, reflecting our growth.

YCCS now operates four locations in the state of Washington; our corporate headquarters in Yakima with branch offices in Kennewick, Seattle and Wenatchee. We serve our clients with integrity, contribute to our communities through a variety of associations, and strive to positively represent our industry by maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and service.

YCCS Collection Staff

Every employee at YCCS receives instruction in the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) to ensure complete understanding of federal laws governing collection agencies. FDCPA regulations are designed to prevent abusive, deceptive, and unfair debt collection practices.

In addition, all YCCS collectors must successfully complete intensive training prior to collecting on any account. This training thoroughly develops the skills necessary to identify debt profiles and find solutions for consumers' debt problems.

With this extensive education and training, YCCS collectors have proven themselves to be dedicated and efficient at helping our clients recover their lost dollars. Our collectors are committed to securing the largest amount possible while remaining polite and professional at all times.

Shonna Stroud,
Vice President

Shonna brings together administrative, budgeting and financial management skills to effectively manage all facets of YCCS office administration. She maintains our financials - including accounts payable, trust settlements - with exceptional integrity and accuracy.

Kelly Baker,
Marketing Manager/Support Services Supervisor

She comes to us with 20+ years in Marketing. She maintains office services and organizes correspondence. She directs strategies and tactics to get the word out about our company, in order to attract potential clients and retain existing ones. She also supervises our support staff and has achieved smooth and consistent operations within the company.

Javier Lozano,
Collections Manager

Javier brings 16 years from knowledge and experience to our agency, He provides the oversight that assures our high standards are met. Combining his comprehensive knowledge of collection practices and governing laws with his natural skill at building relationships, Javier provides an essential component of the quality assurance, delivering excellence while keeping a professional attitude.

Anna Bermudez,
Legal Staff Manager

She has 19 years of employment with YCCS, the last 17 years in our Legal Department. She ensures the Legal department runs smoothly. She coordinates and monitors all activities within the Legal department and makes sure the legal paperwork is done accordingly to our Attorney and the Court collection laws. She is efficient in working together with the office staff to work for our clients.
